The St. Louis-based greenbelt-independent-folk-rockers have been madly touring the countryside since 2006 making believers out of all who listen. Theirs is a true and haunting sound. It is one that many try to evoke, but few manage to accomplish. Only a small, unfeigned lot have ever been able to channel a sound so eerie, yet so comforting. Last year the group found themselves in the company of Damien Jurado, Pedro the Lion, and Centro-matic when they joined the reputable Undertow Collective. Their performances at SXSW this year were absolutely astounding. Look for "Hold You Like a Lover" in early 2010. It is a phenomenal piece of art.
